Naked Smoky Palette Review

Hello!

So I was really excited for this palette to come out! My friend & client managed to grab me one when she went over to America. There was a lot of hype about the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette so I was so eager to get it from her when she got back!

Packaging
I love the outer packaging of this product as the smoky pattern matches the product name perfectly. The contrast on the matte smoky pattern with the silver metallic text is really lovely.

As with all the Naked products it has the classic crushed powder image on the back to show what colours are included in the palette which is a unique way of showing the colours.

As always the palette is perfectly matched to the outer packaging. This palette is very different to the other Naked palettes as it is a made with a chunky plastic. I love the packaging as the plastic helps to enhance the smoky pattern encapsulated inside. The raised silver metallic text matched the smoky pattern perfectly.

Colours
The Smoky palette is a really versatile palette as it has a range of browns, nudes, greys, black & deep plum, as well as a variety of matte & shimmer/glitter eyeshadows. The thing which many of the previous palettes lack is the number of matte shadows so I was happy to see that this palette had 4 matte colours as well as a range of glitter/shimmer colours. As always these palettes are super pigmented, more so than similar brands such as MAC so they last ages!

Glitter/shimmer browns

Glitter/shimmer greys, black & deep plum

Matte grey, brown & nudes

So as you can see the glitter/shimmers are stunning but the mattes are equally gorgeous colours. The mattes are actually one of my favourite parts of this product!

Application
The brush which comes with this palette is slightly different to the other 3 Naked palettes by Urban Decay. The brush differs in that it has a larger end to blend the colours together to create the perfectly blended smoky eye. The smaller end is perfect for a more precise application but again it is perfectly designed to apply & blend the colours into the socket.

This palette also comes with a step-by-step booklet which is great for beginners or for ideas on how to use this palette. It has 4 different looks to try.

I hope you have found my review useful. I would highly recommend this palette especially if you are a Naked palette lover. It is so different colour wise to any of the colour palettes so completely different looks can be created! I'm very impressed! If you have any questions or comments please feel free to send me a message!
